Masonry Cleaning of Sandstone House & Wall
The project was to remove biological growth, sap and dirt on the sandstone of a townhome built in 2012 that consisted of clay brick and sandstone.
The Problem
Following initial cleaning test samples conducted with cold water, the black biological growth gradually came back within a few months. These tests showed that the cold water did not kill the biological matter at its core.
Another of the issues Labas faced with this project was the nature of the soft sandstone. Using a standard pressure washer on this sandstone would leave wand marks due to the extremely high water pressure.

The Solution
ThermaTech equipment was used: low water pressure combined with high heat and proved to be the perfect solution for this delicate job.
Two years since they completed the job, Labas returned to take photos showing the biological matter had not come back. The clients are more than satisfied with the result.
